Lowerhouse Junior School-attended from age 7 to age 11.

At age 11, Peter won a scholarship to Burnley Grammar School.

The schoolboys used to hop over the wall to buy torpedos (spicy pasties made with mince, onion and pepper)...
...he also sold single cigarettes to the smokers! :o
