Spoken by Irene:
The faithful dog sat waiting
For his master to come home
His big brown eyes were watchful
As he sat rooted like a stone
A noise far off in the distance
Made old Ben prick up his ears
With effort he jumped out the window
While his coat bristled with fear
Thick fog swirling around him
He barked as loud as he could
Then silent, he shivered and listened
For the sound that he understood
He heard it was his master's whistle
The most joyful sound of all
It sent Ben running and barking
Through fog to his master's call
Big Jake was glad to see him
He bent down and patted his head
I was lost there for a while, boy
Away home, it's time for our bed
