To any adult, it was just a trunk, but to Annie the doll, who had large blue eyes and long, lovely blonde hair and Coco the clown, who had a red nose, baggy trousers and a sad smile also Ted the teddy bear and Fifi the fairy doll, who was very pretty and she also had a wand
To all these toys, it was no ordinary trunk.
No-one lifted the lid, because for a long while now, the trunk had lain up in the attic, forgotten.
But not to the occupants, because to them it was Magic.
There were all kinds of rooms and tunnels inside the trunk.
Right now, they were planning on going through a tunnel into a fairy garden.
They had been invited to a garden party by the Fairy Queen, Beth.
She was always having these parties and the toys loved them, because they all had a lovely time.
Of course, there would be fairy cakes, tiny sausage rolls, little sandwiches and sparkling lemonade, not forgetting all the fairies who were very friendly and all because of Fifi who was one of the daughters of Queen Beth, but Fifi chose to live with the toys, they all got on so well together.
Annie was brushing her long hair. "I think I shall wear my new red ribbon today", she said, "and my pretty white shoes"
You always look very nice to me, growled Ted the Bear, why you must have hundreds of coloured ribbons in your little box
"I think I shall shine my nose", said Coco the Clown with a sad smile and put on my long boots.
"When you wear those boots", said Ted, "we all keep tripping up" and he gave a deep growl, "but we don't mind"
"What will you wear?", cried Annie the Doll to Ted.
"Well", said Ted giving another growl, "I think I shall put on a new bow tie and I am looking forward to wearing it"
"And I am looking forward to seeing my mother again", said Fifi jumping up and down, "Oh, isn't it exciting?"
They all made their way through a short tunnel. They could see their way because being a Magic Tunnel it had coloured lights down both sides
Fifi and Annie both skipped through the tunnel and when they got through to the end they could hear lots of noise like laughter and squealing
"Sounds like they are having fun", growled Ted
The first thing they saw was some swings, about twelve in all. On each one sat a fairy and they were having a lovely time
As they went up into the air, so they would squeal with laughter
"Ooh, I must have a ride on one of those swings", cried Annie excitedly
"I wouldn't mind having a go myself" said Coco the Clown "it does look fun"
Fifi had already made her way up to her mother, the Queen
