Tranquility

Spoken by Irene:

I lay on a bed of wild daisies
Peace and solitude was my all
Warm sun gently washed over me
As I listened to Mother Nature's call

Birds flew around with abandon
Their squabbles delightful to hear
One beady eyed, cheeky little fellow
Hopped perilously close to my ear

I felt such perfect contentment
As I dreamily gazed at the trees
Like giants they hovered above me
Hardly stirring in the gentle breeze
